The Monday and Saturday 9am groups - these groups will be focusing on physical preparation for running. The sessions will use running technique drills and a variety of terrains to help build both cardio and strength needed for an efficient and effective running technique. The aim for these sessions is to bring everyone back up to a good base line fitness.
Wednesday morning and Saturday 8.00am group runs - this cycle will look at how each person would like to run a half marathon and develop tactics to enable them to achieve their goals. The Saturday sessions will focus on using the Jeffing technique to build the distance for this event. The Wednesday sessions will focus on the pace that they would like to achieve, which will then be broken down into interval training so that they learn how to sustain this pacing over a greater distance.
Wednesday evening groups runs- the first four runs will hopefully be off road to get in the last of the daylight runs before moving back onto road running and getting the group used to running in the dark again.
